Lesson 5: Optimizing the Packing Profile

In this lesson you will learn how to optimize a packing profile to minimize part shrinkage and maximize quality. This lesson is divided into two sections. In the first, we will evaluate internal cavity packing behavior. In the second section, we will compare four packing phase process simulations and analyze the results.

Topics in this lesson include: the importance of optimizing the packing pressure profile, and the packing pressure profile as it relates to packing pressure times, clamp tonnage requirements, and part weight differences, and volumetric shrinkages.
